- I
started installation with the Radar Operators compartment. Follow the numbers
for installation. For my cockpit I installed all of the pieces using
Medium CA. Just make sure that you test the fit of the pieces first to
make sure that it’s where you want it, once the CA sets you will not be
able to move the part again. Zap-A-Gap is what I would recommend for best
results.

- For
the main cockpit area start installation with the upper gunners floor.

- Next
install the lower pilots floor and seat piece.

- Position
and glue your rudder pedals as shown. Notice that I cut some off of the
sides to make room for the sidepieces.

- Install
the back wall with the heater and fire extinguisher. After that all that
is needed is needed for basic assembly is to add the cockpit sidepieces
and glue in the nose wheel tub.

- For
best results when gluing in the Gunner and Radio Operators seats, I
recommend adding a small piece of wood dowel. I first marked where the
seat was on the cockpit floor and then drilled a hole in the floor. Then
stick a piece of dowel into the hole and then position the seat in it’s
location and press it down on the dowel. This will leave a slight mark on
the balsa piece in the seat support. Drill this out and glue the dowel
into the seat bottom with Medium CA. Also notice that I sanded some of the
paint off of the floor, the glue will not hold the seat to the floor if
you do not remove the paint first.

- Front
cockpit area completed. Note that the nose wheel tub has a ladder
attached, this is an extra detail I added for myself.

- Radar Operators
compartment. After completely installing the cockpit I like to go back
over the corners using the black chalk and brush technique. It helps to
bring the whole cockpit together so that it doesn’t look like a bunch of
separate pieces. After adding the shadows, very lightly go back over the
touched up areas with your flat clear spray. Here are some more pictures:

Thank you! And happy landings!
